Organized by the Academy of the Ministry of Finance and initiated by the Competition Agency, a regional project was implemented on the topic: "Fundamentals of Competition Law for Administrative Bodies".

The project was supported and fully funded by the German International Cooperation (GIZ) Law Program, in which workshops were held for state agencies in Samegrelo, Imereti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kakheti, Shida Kartli and Adjara.

As a result, more than 400 civil servants were trained during the project.

The meetings were aimed at familiarizing public procurement and legal direction employees with competition legislation, sharing information on restrictive competition actions of state authorities and local self-government bodies, and mechanisms for identifying coordinated actions of economic agents in public procurement.

Work is currently underway on the second phase of the project, which plans to train four additional regions.
